Wushan crispy plum

Wushan Crispy Plum, also known as Wushan Big Plum, Crispy Plum, has been planted in the Tang and Song Dynasties and has a history of thousands of years. In Guizhou, Hubei and other places, in 2012, Wushan County and Southwest University established a county-school cooperative relationship. With the help of Southwest University's technology and human resources, based on its own land resources, climate, natural transportation conditions and the development foundation of the crisp plum industry, Wushan County vigorously implemented Wushan Demonstration of the purification and selection of crisp plum varieties and safe and efficient production technology to promote the process of industrial scale, standardization and branding. Wushan crisp plum has flourished in many towns and towns along the Yangtze River in the county, such as Quchi, Daxi, Wuxia, etc. It is the second largest main fruit in Wushan County after citrus. It has become one of the pillar industries of the county's characteristic and beneficial agriculture and one of the main sources of farmers' income. Data shows that as of 2013, the planting area of crisp plums in Wushan County reached 52,000 mu, with a total output of 42,500 tons, ranking first in the city. In May 2014, Chongqing Wushan Crispy Plum was awarded the title of "Famous Chinese Fruit" by the China Fruit Circulation Association, and Wushan County, its origin, was also awarded the title of "Hometown of Crispy Plum in China".

Wushan has the Daxi cultural site and the Longgupo cultural site, which are the world natural heritage and the national style preservation value, and has humanistic connotations such as the Longgupo culture, the witch culture, the goddess culture, and the Bachu culture.

Although Wushan Crispy Plum can be planted in mountains, hills, and flat land, it is still advisable to choose red sand with loose, fertile, deep soil, good air permeability, leeward sunshine, good drainage and irrigation, air circulation, and soil pH value of 6~8.
