"God bestows the Three Gorges, cross-country Wushan." At 8:00 am on November 2, the China Sports Lottery 2019 Yangtze River Three Gorges (Wushan) International Cross-Country Race (hereinafter referred to as the Yangtze River Three Gorges Cross-Country Race) fired a shot at Ningjiang Road, Wushan County. The event attracted 3,000 players from 20 countries including China, the United Kingdom, Mexico, and Poland.

"One river with clear water, green mountains on both sides, red leaves in the Three Gorges, four seasons of cloud and rain, a thousand-year-old town, and ten thousand years of civilization", 3,000 contestants launched a competition of speed and endurance in the core landscape belt of the Three Gorges. In the end, Chen Chaojiang and Wen Danyu won the 100km men's and women's championships; Li Bo and Liu Ning won the 50km men's and women's championships; in the 25km class, PASHA (Ukraine) and Zhong Rong won the men's and women's championships respectively.

This year's Three Gorges Cross Country Race is hosted by the Chinese Athletics Association, Chongqing Municipal Sports Bureau, Wushan County People's Government, organized by Wushan County Culture and Tourism Development Committee, Wushan County Xiangyun Culture and Sports Industry Development Co., Ltd., Chongqing Hualong.com Group Co., Ltd., Kaicheng Sports Culture Industry (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. is the execution unit of the event.

In order to promote national fitness, the organizing committee of the event set the starting and ending points on Ningjiang Road in Wushan County for the first time, which not only facilitated the players to reach the starting point directly from the hotel in the urban area, but also attracted thousands of citizens from the county to watch the event up close. This year's track is very beautiful, including the most famous scenic spots in Wushan: Little Three Gorges, Shennv Peak, Shennvtian Road, Nanling Ancient Road, Wenfeng View, Huangyan, and Wangtianping, which have become check-in points for players.
